  Yes, you can get a refund from Airlines if the flight cancellation is made by the airlines. 

  • If the cancellation is made after you reach the airport, then along with the refund, you can expect quick compensation or travel points too.
  • When the cancellation is notified before you reach the airport, then you can get the option for a new flight or a refund. It is up to you, which one you are going to choose. 
  • If you have cancelled the flight before the airlines do, then you are not going to receive the refund from the airlines, so make sure you check the status of the flight before cancellation.

  As per the customer's convenience, the cancellation is made based on the un-timely situations that appear in front of the passengers before their travel or on the date of travel. Then in that particular scenario, the customers demand the cancellation process so that they get full refunds against their WestJet flight ticket. Therefore for the appropriate reference of Westjet cancellation policy, you should know some of the policy points that WestJet airlines have laid for the betterment of their customers.

  Here are the policy points against cancellation of flight ticket;

  • If the cancellation is made within 24hours of purchase, then full refunds are given to the customer.
  • And in case the cancellation is after the 24-hour purchase, then cancellation fees are applied to the ticket.
  • Or suppose cancellation is made 24-21 days before the departure on the vacation packages or before the first hotel check-in. In that case, it will result in a 50% refund to the original form of payment & a 50% refund to WestJet dollars.
