Posted in the topic Dlinkap.local Extender Setup Via WPS in the forum Technology

There are several D-Link extender types, both wired and wireless. I recommend you review each D-Link extension model before buying one. Once you have purchased the extender, it is time to set it up so that you can enjoy extended wifi signals in all corners of your house. Let's take a look at the WPS button, which allows you to configure one of the extender models. If your extender is wired, connect all wires to it. If wireless, plug the extender into an electric socket. The led lights should blink to indicate that the extender has been turned on. Next, press the WPS button on both the router and extender simultaneously for 20 seconds. The extender should blink green to indicate that the configuration was successful. Setup an extender using the dlinkap.local protocol.

One plugs in the extender 1320 and a red light appears. This red light then turns into an orange light and starts blinking.

Step 2 Now, press WPS on the router.

Step 3 Press the WPS key on the DAP-1320. Once the green color begins blinking, release it. Once it is connected, the LED will change to a solid green color.

    Step 4

Note: To connect wirelessly to the DAP-1320 an individual must use its Wi-Fi Network Name or SSID and its Password. This information is found in your configuration note.
