You should first clarify your thoughts, plan your project and decide what work you will need to do. These tips will make writing less painful.
- Before you begin writing, think through your topic. Before you start writing, you need to create a thesis, outline or consider the topic.
- You should keep a record of everything you think about when you are planning your project. Write down all the thoughts that come to mind, including images, phrases, names, words and fragments of sentences, even if they seem small or insignificant.
- Ask questions that are based upon 5Ws - Who Where? When? What? Why?
- To explore your research topic, you can use free writing. Write down all the thoughts that come to mind within a given time period and don't edit them.
- Use your ideas to create an outline for your sociology research paper. You can use a diagram, or a more traditional one.
- A good outline will save you a lot of time in the writing and revision process. It is a plan for what you will say.
