Can a Tissue Damage Be Permanent?

Soft tissue injuries may sound mild and easy to treat. But they can be severe and painful. There are many types and causes of soft tissue injuries based on the circumstances. If the pain is not going away, there must be something serious. The most common cause of a soft tissue injury can be an accident. Accidents happen daily and cause bone breakage, too much bleeding, tissue damage, and even death. Even if the tissue damage is minor, you should notice the progress to know the condition.

Usually, soft tissue damages don't last forever,  but they can be severe. In rare cases, such injuries may be permanent if left untreated or if you suffer severe bruises on the affected area. We often ignore such discoloration or bruises but we must check with the doctor to treat them properly if they are severe. Else, you will end up suffering from tissue damage your entire life.

People take it as a mild pain or something like that, but the lifelong tissue damage means an inability to move in some cases. It happens when the tissue damage is not healed correctly. The damaged tissue can't support the bones of the muscles the way it used to be. As a result, the person may find it challenging to use the arm, leg, or whatever area is affected.

Therefore there is a dire need for proper treatment options to cope with the condition. Meeting with a Des Moines physical therapist can help you get rid of the pain and damage to your soft tissue.
