Last day, my carbon monoxide detector started beeping unexpectedly. It wasn’t the usual low battery warning, and there were no gas appliances running. The only thing different was the stifling summer humidity. I checked every possible source of carbon monoxide but found nothing suspicious. With all the windows open for ventilation, I couldn’t figure out why the alarm kept going off. Was the high humidity affecting the sensor? I turned off the air conditioning for a while to see if that helped, but the beeping persisted. Frustrated and concerned, I started searching for answers to see if humidity was the cause.
