  HTO or high tibial osteotomy is recommended to the patient with osteoarthritis in the knee at their early age or in the mid of 40s. Under this treatment, misalignment of the knee is corrected by shifting the pressure from the damaged part to the healthier tissue. It is a preservation technique to delay total knee replacement for up to 10 years.

  The right age of the treatment is after 60.  According to a survey, the total knee replacement surgery in Delhi is recommended to patients who are in their 60s. The younger you are the better the recovery will be. It is also good for patients who are above 70 but below 80.

  According to some best knee replacement surgeon in South Delhi, the right age of the treatment is when the patient is in his 60s or over.  In some cases, people below 60 have also undergone for the treatment. Also, in some cases patients who suffer from severe knee surgery have also undergone for knee replacement surgery.

Remember, surgeons are not meant to encourage you for surgery. They recommend first-line treatments like physical therapy, rehab and some medicines.
