    HTO or high tibial osteotomy is recommended to the patient with osteoarthritis in the knee at their early age or in the mid of 40s. Under this treatment, misalignment of the knee is corrected by shifting the pressure from the damaged part to the healthier tissue. It is a preservation technique to delay total knee replacement for up to 10 years.
