I'm new to Ubuntu and currently using version 22.04. I need to install Java for my projects and would appreciate a detailed guide on how to do this. 

Specifically, I'm looking for information on choosing between OpenJDK and Oracle JDK, the best installation methods (including APT and any other recommended methods), and how to set up environment variables like JAVA_HOME and PATH.

 Also, I'd like to know how to verify the installation and manage multiple Java versions if you need to. Any tips on troubleshooting common issues during installation would also be helpful.
