The number of times I visited the UC Davis website and watched the video “UC Davis: A Day in My Life" is immeasurable. The more I communicated with UC Davis virtually, the more I understood how I would feel spiritually on campus. I admit that maybe it wasn't my dream University from the age of 8, but I believe that's how I came to this proclamation to be the most important. If I had the opportunity to attend the University of California, Davis, I would be happy to enroll, because I know that the aggie community is a place where I will thrive.
As a descendant of the Aztecs and Zapotecs, being surrounded by nature is very important for a pleasant day. I imagine spending many evenings at Spafford lake, writing poetry, and continuing my business plan for the mobile app I developed, OnTime, with which I won my first pitch competition in November 2019.
I know that College is difficult, but I believe that with spaces for meditation and entertainment, my journey will not be as intimidating. With passionate professors like Bernard Molyneux who create new educational opportunities for students rather than being afraid, I would be inspired. Getting an education from Professor molineux, enrolling in organizational and leadership management, and applying to learning through leadership is the ultimate formula for getting the skills needed to achieve my goals of developing enrichment programs for under-resourced communities. I would like to apply the knowledge gained from these programs to my own business and become part of the picnic steering Committee.
