There is a third method of connecting homes to the NBN, known as Fibre-to-the-Curb (FTTC). It is somewhat different to the more popular Fibre-to-the-Premises (FttP) connection methods, as it uses existing copper wiring instead of running fibre optic cables directly into your home. While there isn’t yet a definitive word on the practical experience of FTTN and FTTB connections, FTTC has been well tested with many users receiving speeds close to those advertised by providers.
