Ceylon cinnamon is the most valuable species, originating from India, Bangladesh, Myanmar and Sri Lanka in ancient Egypt. Cinnamon was used to bathe the bodies. It is also used in the production of kyphi, such as incense used in religious rituals and for medicinal purposes.
