Sri Lanka captain Dimuth Karunaratne and Kusal Mendis both scored centuries as the hosts racked up an imposing 386-4 by stumps on the opening day of the first Test against Ireland in Galle.

Having won the toss and electing to bat first, Sri Lanka got off to a decent start with Karunaratne putting on 64 with Nishan Madushka (29) for the opening partnership.

When Madushka departed, edging a delivery from Curtis Campher (1-44) behind, it succeeded only in bringing Mendis to the crease who promptly sharing in a record stand of 281 for the second wicket with his skipper.

It is the highest partnership for any wicket at Galle after surpassing 267 runs scored by Mohammad Ashraful and Mushfiqur Rahim of Bangladesh 10 years ago.

You may not agree with me, but I do understand that cricket is a very emotional sport. This can be confirmed by the number of bets on matches - https://melbet.com/ There are also the most radical fan organizations. But I'm only focused on the bets)
