In 2016, TJPW (Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling) had its first show at Korakuen Hall. Miyu Yamashita won the main event and became the first Tokyo Princess of Princess Champion. Yuu debuted and Candice LeRae also appeared. Ai Shimizu and Erin left the promotion in spring, but TJPW had a successful summer and secured a broadcasting deal with Pigoo, an idol-centric channel.
