How to fix QuickBooks error code C=47?

    QuickBooks error code C=47 appear on the screen with a warning message that states: An error has occurred in QuickBooks.” Please restart QuickBooks and try again. If you continue to experience this error, please note the C=value and contact technical support. C=47. “Error has occurred in QB, please restart the computer, but it does not go away even after restarting.” The user can come across this issue when Windows server 2008 cleaning up process is taking place.     The below factors can trigger such an error in QuickBooks:

    1. Corrupted QuickBooks data file can trigger this issue
    2. In case the transaction log file is corrupted 
    3. The user can also experience a similar issue if the backup isn’t taken properly 
    4. In case the data file is corrupted 
    5. Or the settings of internet explorer are not configured properly, and then such an error can be experienced. 

    Steps to fix such an error 

    The user can perform the below steps to fix such an error in error in QuickBooks 

    1. At first, update QuickBooks by checking if the software is QuickBooks updated to the latest release or not 
    2. Now, look for the lists option and click on the same 
    3. Choose chart of accounts 
    4. Head to the view menu and hit ok 
    5. Now, click on the resort list option 
    6. This will show up the selected list 
    7. Now, change and check the list once again 
    8. After that, perform the same process for a customer list 
    9. Move to the customer center and then click on the customer and jobs option 
    10. Go for the view menu and click on resort list in the menu option 
    11. And close the QuickBooks 
    12. Reboot the system and open QuickBooks

    On your keyboard, press Windows+ E to open the Computer window.
    Click Uninstall or change a program.
    Select QuickBooks.
    Once QuickBooks is selected, click Uninstall/Change.
    In the QuickBooks Installation window, click Next.
    Select the Repair radio button, click Next, and then click Repair.
    Click Finish.
