Psoriasis vs Eczema are two common skin conditions that can cause red, scaly patches on the skin. While they share some similarities, there are also some important differences.Psoriasis is a chronic condition that occurs when the immune system overreacts, causing skin cells to grow too quickly. This can result in thick, scaly patches of skin that can be itchy, painful, and bleed easily. Psoriasis is often genetic and tends to run in families.

Eczema, on the other hand, is a general term for a group of conditions that cause the skin to become inflamed or irritated. Atopic dermatitis, the most common form of eczema, is often triggered by environmental factors like allergies or irritants. It can cause dry, itchy skin and can lead to cracked, raw skin if not treated properly.

While both psoriasis and eczema can be uncomfortable and cause similar symptoms, there are some key differences. Psoriasis is a lifelong condition with no cure, while eczema can often be controlled with treatment. Psoriasis is also more likely to affect the joints, while eczema is more likely to affect the face, hands, and feet.

I Brief Psoriasis typically causes less intense itching and, in certain rarer kinds, a painful burn. On the other side, eczema can cause excruciating itching. Some individuals scrape their skin so forcefully that it bleeds when the condition becomes acute.
