It's almost a full Wednesday of baseball, with only the Twins and Brewers getting the day off. As is often the case mid-week, the MLB DFS slates are split between a four-game early slate and a nine-game late slate (The Indians-Red Sox 6:10 p.m. ET start is hanging in limbo in between). Our SP rankings are fairly strong, but the sleepers are even riskier than usual, especially on DraftKings, where pricing seems tighter. The one guy who seems like a relative bargain on DK isWalker Buehler (vs. Mets). He's had his ups and downs this season, but he's facing a pitcher with a Babe Ruth Jersey similar profile (Noah Syndergaard). Syndergaard is actually cheaper than Buehler but has the much tougher matchup on paper. We know a stud like Syndergaard can dominate anyone, so this is a good opportunity to get an ace for a good price, but Buehler seems like the better option between the two. He's priced way up on FD, so if you're playing on both sites, it' MLB New York Yankees s not a bad idea to split the difference and take Syndergaard on FD and Buehler on DK.Madison Bumgarner (@ Marlins)will be a popular pick because of the matchup, but his counterpart in that game,Pablo Lopez (vs. Giants), offers the most value of the day. While Lopez has frustrated with some real duds, he's still better than his bargain pricing. Given the matchup, he's a real money saver who can help you squeeze in an extra Coors or Camden bat.Kevin Gausman (vs. Nationals)also looks like a nice value. Washington really struggles against rightiesand crushes lefties, so this is a better matchup than you might think. The ultimate boom-or-bust play isRobbie Ray (@ Rockies). He'll likely be faded because of the Coors factor, but keep in mind when Ray pitched in Colorado earlier this year, he had a decent showing (5.2 IP, nine walks/hits, one earned run, and seven Ks). Syndergaard,Kyle Hendricks (@ Astros), andTrent Thronton (@ Rays)also look like matchup-based fades/GPP-only options. The Cardinals-Phillies and Tigers-Orioles could see some showers tonight, so double checkwith thecloser to lineup lock.MORE WEDNESDAY MLB: | Today's Daily Fantasy Baseball Pitcher Rankings: Wednesday, May 29RankPitcherTeamOpponentOpp. wRC+ vs. LHP (rank)Opp. wRC+ vs. RHP (rank)FDDK1Blake SnellRaysvs. Blue Jays70 (27th)N/A$11,800$11,3002James PaxtonYankeesvs. Padres96 (14th)N/A$9,900$10,7003Chris PaddackPadres@ YankeesN/A114 (T-6th)$10,200$10,1004Shane BieberIndians@ Red SoxN/A106 (10th)$9,600$10,1005Madison BumgarnerGiants@ Marlins63 (30th)N/A$9,700$9,9006Walker BuehlerDodgersvs. MetsN/A96 (T- Lou Gehrig Jersey 15th)$11,000$9,6007Aaron NolaPhilliesvs. CardinalsN/A100 (T-11th)$8,900$9,0008Noah SyndergaardMets@ DodgersN/A118 (3rd)$9,100$9,3009Pablo LopezMarlinsvs. Giants69 (T-28th)N/A$7,600$6,60010Kevin GausmanBravesvs. NationalsN/A81 (25th)$7,300$8,30011Griffin CanningAngels@ A'sN/A96 (T-15th)$7,800$8,30012Robbie RayD-backs@ Rockies88 (20th)N/A$7,500$8,20013Kyle HendricksCubs@ Austin Romine Jersey AstrosN/A123 (1st)$9,300$9,20014Trent ThorntonBlue Jays@ RaysN/A116 (4th)$9,300$8,00015Ryan WeberRed Soxvs. IndiansN/A79 (26th)$6,800$6,60016Anthony DeSclafaniRedsvs. PiratesN/A91 (18th)$6,400$7,00017Glenn SparkmanRoyals@ White SoxN/A90 (T-19th)$5,600$5,70018Wade LeBlancMarinersvs. Rangers84 (T-22nd)N/A$6,200$6,60019Wade MileyAstrosvs. Cubs107 (9th)N/A$6,600$7,80020Daniel MengdenA'svs. AngelsN/A115 (5th)$7,000$7,30021Anibal SanchezNationals@ BravesN/A98 (T-13th)$6,300$7,20022Reynaldo LopezWhite Soxvs. RoyalsN/A98 (T-13th)$7,400$5,90023Jeff HoffmanRockiesvs. D-backsN/A90 (T-19th)$5,500$6,30024John MeansOriolesvs. Tigers90 (18th)N/A$6,500$6,90025Drew SmylyRangers@ Mariners105 (T-10th)N/A$6,000$7,60026Ryan CarpenterTigers@ Orioles87 (21st)N/A$5,700$5,40027Steven BraultPirates@ Reds89 (19th)N/A$5,500$5,50028Genesis CabreraCardinals@ Phillies105 (10th)N/A$5,500$7,000wRC+ is defined by Fangraphs as " measuring how a players wRC compares with league average after controlling for park effects. League average for position players is 100, and every point above 100 is a percentage point above league average. For example, a 125 wRC+ means a Phil Rizzuto Jersey player created 25% more runs than a league average hitter would have in the same number of plate appearances. Similarly, every point below 100 is a percentage point below league average, so a 80 wRC+ means a player created 20% fewer runs than league average." For more on the stat, .
