TALUQAN Leo Lacroix WM 2018 Trikot , Afghanistan, Aug. 11 (Xinhua) -- At least 10 people were killed and over a dozen others wounded after gunmen exchanged fire near a mosque in Afghanistan's northern province of Takhar on Friday, a local official and witnesses said.
The firing took place after Friday prayers when the worshippers were leaving the main mosque in Chah Ab district's bazaar roughly at 02:00 p.m. local time (0930 GMT), a witness told Xinhua.
"Shortly after the praying, two armed groups belonging to local warlords exchanged fire near the gate of the mosque Stephan Lichtsteiner WM 2018 Trikot , leaving 10 people killed and about 20 others injured," he said, adding that among the affected people were several civilians.
District administrative Chief Abdul Haseeb, when approached by Xinhua, confirmed the incident.
Haseeb blamed the irresponsible armed groups for the carnage Yann Sommer WM 2018 Trikot , saying loose law as well as carrying arms by irresponsible armed men resulted in the barbaric killing.
"I do confirm that eight civilians were killed and injured as we know so far but more information will be shared after an ongoing investigation into the incident."
The remote district is located near the border with Tajikistan.
Ordinary Afghans usually suffer at the hands of irresponsible armed groups, particularly in remote areas, where the government control is weak.
In mid-2015, 20 civilians were killed and 10 others injured in a shooting incident during a wedding party in the neighboring Baghlan province.

TOKYO, Sept. 28 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar changed hands in the upper 112 yen zone in early deals in Tokyo on Thursday Xherdan Shaqiri Schweiz Trikot , after rising to a near-two-and-a-half month high in New York overnight.

MANILA Roman Burki Schweiz Trikot , Sept. 28 (Xinhua) -- Philippine Foreign Affairs Secretary Alan Peter Cayetano and U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson have met in Washington to discuss Manila's anti-drug war, a statement issued by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said here Thursday.
During the meeting at the State Department in Washington D.C. on Wednesday, the statement said the Philippines does not allow extrajudicial killings.
"Contrary to media reports, Cayetano also clarified to Tillerson that the Philippines does not have a state policy allowing extrajudicial killings, especially of illegal drug suspects Edimilson Fernandes Schweiz Trikot ," the statement read.
It said Cayetano informed Tillerson that Manila would welcome further cooperation with Washington, especially on initiatives that would address the illegal drugs problem in the country.
It said Cayetano also discussed with Tillerson the openness of the Philippines to receive independent observers or investigators who could take a closer look into not only the illegal drug problem but also the government's campaign to eradicate it.
Moreover, it said Cayetano again emphasized the seriousness of the illegal drug problem in the Philippines and the menace it brings to the Filipinos.
Thousands have been killed since Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte launched his controversial war on drugs in 2016. Philippines police insisted that they only killed suspects who resisted arrest violently.
In the same meeting, the statement said the two secretaries also pledged to continue working closely together on issues of mutual interest and concern.
