Well, baseball is around the corner and MLB The Show 18 Stubs that means Sony San Diego is falling the most recent name in the MLB The Show Series. It's a fitting backdrop to the claims that this year's title is focused on having fun, with the addition of new bat moves, more team and player specific expressions and also an emphasis on the lovers of this sport. The Display 18 does provide on the a few of the promises which were created but the game also fails to correct some the problems that have plagued the otherwise outstanding series for ages.

Graphically, MLB The Show 18 stays among the best looking sports games available on the current market, no doubt as a result of the fact that it is just made and optimized for the PlayStation 4. Stadiums are true to life, light is excellent at all times of the day and many of improvements are made to the caliber of player versions. I adore all of the subtle but powerful improvements made throughout the name. Players can now wear face masks, so the Yankees offer the thumbs down big hits and the Mets fanatics are far out in the bleachers yelling it up.

Crowds are now dynamic, meaning a day match in June will see less fans in the cheap MLB 18 stubs stands compared to say that an extreme mid-September showdown while Dodger Stadium sees a slow to arrive audience -- unless it's the playoffs. All these small tweaks make The Display 18 feel just like a true representation of the game, and it is this newfound swagger which makes the game feel more fun. The only real downside of the presentation package is the commentary that can still feel disjoined and repetitive at times. It is beginning to fall much behind the excellent commentary found in Madden and NBA 2K.

    The manner was enjoyable

Gameplay is much improved this year, as hitting has been elegant and fixed to better reflect excellent swing choices. Players are rewarded for assaulting errors down the middle rather than swinging at good pitches that are painting the corners. I discovered that whenever I was patient at the plate my group would find greater success. Pitching remains as accurate as normal, but you are certainly punished more for bad throws.
