Again, OSRS gold players want to have their cake and eat it as well. It is the same issue they have with boss layout being stuck because combat is stuck on a tick system. Mechanicallydown at its very roots, Runescape is more prone to botting. There are ways they can enhance, but asking them to replicate the success they had with nuking bots on RS3 without updating their full back end codebase is ridiculous. You're playing a game from when Windows Vista has been new, intentionally regressed and chained to technology from that era, and expecting it to keep up with modern technology.
Beyond this, when Jagex did fix the bot problem, people lost their fucking heads and quit Runescape in droves. It's a problem lots of individuals claim they want fixed, but there's a substantial proportion of players who bot themselves or buy money from gold farmers. I don't think the players really care very much about the issue.
Is Jagex waiting for Runescape to perish before getting on how to make money fast in old school runescape top of the shit? I don't understand how it's possible that these bots can completely randomly generate names and perform the same actions for hours upon hours straight and not get immediately banned. Banning them is clearly insufficient, I don't want them they'll be back in one hour. I need it to be much harder to create accounts in rapid succession - random captchas, username flagging, chat monitoring.
There are dice bots at the GE in each and every world spamming the same message format each and every day . The playercount is being inflated and the market is being pumped with botted stuff.Obviously botting can not be stopped, but there shouldn't be any situation where spiders can collect 20-50m exp in a skill without getting caught.
