World of Warcraft has dropped another 1.5 million subscribers, Activision confirmed today.
The company stated during its quarterly earnings call that this long-running MMO is sitting at 5.six million subscribers. This is down 1.5 million from 7.a million in March 2015, various which itself was down from millions of. The nearly 3 million WoW subscriber loss was considered the greatest quarterly drop inside game's history.
Activision did observe that a large non-expansion update called Fury on the Hellfire released close to the end from the quarter, and helped to stabilize the subscriber numbers. It also said Blizzard revenues are up due to strong performance across its products, and this overall online players are up 50% year-over-year for Blizzard.
