Everton beat Manchester United, David de Gea regrets the performance of MU players
Manchester United again failed to pack full points in the match week 32 of the Premier League. Playing at home to Everton, Ralf Rangnick's side lost 0–1 thanks to an only goal from Anthony Gordon ('27).
MU mainstay goalkeeper David de Gea criticized the appearance of his teammates after achieving negative results in the match. He considered the Red Devils squad to have less desire to win than the home team.
"They (Everton) just played last Wednesday. They are tired, but they have a bigger desire (to win) than us. It is unacceptable. Today's loss is very sad," De Gea said after the match.
"It's a shame for us. We should have won the game," continued the Spanish goalkeeper, as reported by the Mirror.
MU actually appeared with the best strength when dealing with Everton. Ralf Rangnick fielded mainstay players such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Bruno Fernandes, and Jadon Sancho. However, none of the goals were created for the Red Devils. CR7 is also toothless in front of the Toffes' crossbar.
This achievement makes MU locked in seventh place in the English Premier League standings with a score of 51 points. The team based at Old Trafford are behind Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and West Ham United, which are ranked 4.5 and 6 respectively.
This is the second successive failure for MU to pack full points in the Premier League. Previously, the Red Devils also failed to reap maximum results after a 1-1 draw with Leicester at home last week.
Ralf Rangnick's Response
MU interim manager Ralf Rangnick did not deny the Red Devils lack of creativity in the match. The German coach admitted that he had tried to improve the condition of the squad by making substitutions. Unfortunately, the goddess of luck is not on MU's side.
