I discovered about the OSRS gold crucial exploit and the bans that occurred from that. I have not kept up with the promos such as Yak Track, but it's sad to see these ramping up MTX rather than toning it down.
It's disappointing, because RS3 has the potential to be among the greatest MMO's available, but the higher ups have seemingly gotten really lazy with it. I was expecting that they would be in a position to ATLEAST use the enormous MTX profits on earning the game's graphical fidelity consistent, but it never occurred, even though they allegedly provide their graphic function to multiple third party businesses.
Now I fear that they're going to cash out and leave it completely since OSRS is performing better with nowhere near the quantity of MTX (that is deserved tbh. I enjoy spending time in here and see what's going on with the other half the RuneScape loved ones, and it seems like that the Devs are actual fans of this game and genuinely want to see it grow and improve in the long run.
I really do still lay the majority of the blame on the high ups).
It's only a sucky position to see that the game like this tbh. What really hurts most importantly is the prosperity of potential it's that Jagex won't capitalize on because the higher ups are frightened of putting cash in for the Cheap Rs gold (admittedly tons of) work it might take.
I recall after the past Runefest, most felt that RS3 did better than OSRS since it had bigger things on the slate. I am sure others might disagree with me, but ever since Runefest I anticipated 2020 to be a slow year for OSRS which has kind of been true; we got a couple of decent-sized upgrades but nothing that major (unless you count the league, which will be fair).
