By enabling units/weapons from PSO2

(Which is the reason even using Tweaker and playing on the JP servers would not be the same, since you couldn't take any of that over to NA servers.) Plus, since they decided original Phantasy Star Online 2 Meseta is going to stand alongside NGS, they were going to need to vent both over anyway, so better to get it done in phases.

(I strongly suspect that NGS isn't going to start with a"complete game's" worth of content, but will probably be published progressively over time. This is most likely why they are updating the original PSO2 and keeping equally side-by-side -- because people will run out of things to do if they simply play with NGS.

By enabling units/weapons from PSO2 to be attracted into NGS, it is going to give folks a reason to keep on playing PSO2 in order to support their progress in NGS, and I suspect they will incentivize people doing that at least in the initial year or two until NGS is more fleshed out and fully-featured.This should be like it's own article. Im coming to this conclusion too. At first I was skeptical but now that I know the bigger vision more, it's all making sense. I'm actually glad we do not have to wait 8 decades and are getting it all at once.

People said time and time again, Emotes and Cosmetics is the"end game" and folks thought it is meme and put all energy into affixing and shit... If there were farmable cosmetics and emotes, I'd concur. However, your"end game", can't be from PSO2 Meseta for sale just buying stuff through the money shop or gated currencies like FUN. That actually isn't an end game in case you can not really spend time in game to make progress towards it.
