If OSRS gold is going to shut down old college is gonna go offline as it doesn't make as much cash and MTX will creep up on rs3 till it dies you guys forget which game really makes jagex money.We obviously dont know the specific numbers, however osrs currently averages 3x that the runescape playerbase of rs3, meaning osrs brings in roughly 3x as much money in membership cash. I dont believe the average rs3 runescape player pays 33$ a month for this game.
It doesn't create as much MTX cash, but doesn't OSRS have like 3/4 that the runescape player base? That could be a enormous subscription fee reduction for Jagex.MTX made up just 25 percent of the total revenue in 2018, and dropped from 2017. This figure is therefore this includes OSRS bond sales.
I believe runescape players like to believe in their head that RS3 MTX is your lifeblood of all Jagex, but frankly it is making a very small fraction of the earnings at this time. OSRS is assuredly making more money than RS3 at this point in time.
Nah that is just wishful thinking, I love rs3 but when one goes down it'll be rs3. Depending on who is in charge at the time Jagex might hold their tongues and realise membership provides them enough or they'll begin with small recolours then Buy Rs gold following the backlash they'll hold off for a year or so.
