Ultrasonic level meter is a digital level meter controlled by a microprocessor. It adopts non-contact measurement. The measured medium is almost unlimited and can be widely used to measure the height of various liquids and solid materials.

    Principle of ultrasonic level meter

Ultrasonic level meter is designed according to the principle of ultrasonic positioning. When ultrasonic wave propagates along the original direction and encounters an obstacle, it will generate an echo in the opposite direction (vertical to the obstacle surface). When the echo returns to the vicinity of the ultrasonic emission point and is received, a time difference can be obtained, and the distance between the ultrasonic emission device and the obstacle can be calculated, that is, the distance between the ultrasonic level meter and the level interface.

    Features of ultrasonic level meter

    1. Non-contact continuous measurement avoids corrosion and hanging of contact measuring instruments, and has a longer service life. The continuity of measurement data is better.

    2. The high-frequency vibration of ultrasonic wave has a certain surface self-cleaning ability, which is easier to maintain. 3. Ultrasonic wave consumes less power and has less impact on the environment, and will not affect workers or other equipment in the working environment.

    4. Intelligent controller, supports historical data recording, remote control, multi-point warning and other functions.

    Ultrasonic level meter selection method

    1. Select according to the use environment: integrated, split or external

    2. Select according to signal transmission requirements: current signal output or pulse signal output, etc.

    3. Select according to the type of medium to be measured: solid or granular media can be measured by top installation, and liquid media should be measured by bottom installation.

Application field of ultrasonic level meter

Liquid level and material level measurement is a problem often encountered in industry. Ultrasonic positioning technology has many advantages. It can not only measure the position at a fixed point and continuously, but also conveniently provide the signals required for telemetry or remote control. Compared with radioactive positioning technology, ultrasonic technology does not require protection. Compared with laser ranging technology, it has the advantages of simplicity and economy. At the same time, ultrasonic technology generally does not require moving parts, so it is relatively convenient in installation and maintenance. Ultrasonic level meters can be widely used in many industries such as petroleum, mining, power plants, chemical plants, water treatment plants, sewage treatment stations, agricultural water use, environmental monitoring, food (brewery, beverage industry, additives, edible oil, dairy products), flood control, hydrological monitoring, open channels, spatial positioning, etc.
