Ultrasonic flowmeter consists of three parts: ultrasonic ultrasonic transducer, electronic circuit and total flow display and accumulation system software. The ultrasonic transducer converts electromagnetic energy into ultrasonic kinetic energy and transmits it to the fluid under test. The ultrasonic data signal received by the signal receiver is amplified by the electronic circuit and converted into an electronic signal representing the total flow. The supply and demand balance display and accumulation meter performs display and accumulation calculation to complete the total flow inspection and display.

    Advantages of ultrasonic flowmeter

    (1) External clamp ultrasonic flowmeter can perform non-contact flow measurement. Even if it is an insert or internal ultrasonic flowmeter, its pressure loss is basically zero, and the convenience and rationality of total flow measurement are the best.

    (2) Ultrasonic flowmeter can accurately measure various substances such as water, gas and oil, and its application industry is very wide.

    (3) The manufacturing cost of ultrasonic flowmeter is basically unrelated to the specifications. It has comprehensive core competitiveness of being economical and easy to install in large-diameter flow measurement sites.

    (4) Portable ultrasonic flowmeters can measure the total flow in various tube mirrors and pipes of various materials. They are the best type of flowmeter for online calibration, inspection or periodic verification using standard meters.

    (5) Ultrasonic flowmeters have the basic principle of measuring flow based on two basic physical quantities: length and time. It can be predicted that flowmeters that surpass other basic principles will eventually become the carriers of total flow specifications and total flow standards.

Ultrasonic flowmeters have low power consumption and can quickly and easily complete long-term battery-powered systems. Through excellent intelligent system servers, network wireless communication is achieved, and their application prospects are even broader.

    Disadvantages of ultrasonic flowmeters

The main disadvantages of ultrasonic flowmeters at this stage are that the temperature range of fluid dynamics that can be measured is limited by the high temperature level of the ultrasonic transducer and the intermediate material between the ultrasonic transducer and the pipe. The original record of the speed of sound propagating in fluid dynamics at high temperatures is incomplete. In addition, the accurate measurement path of ultrasonic flowmeters is more complicated than that of ordinary flowmeters.
