Set Up Nighthawk AX8 8-Stream Extender using the Nighthawk App
You don't need to visit www.mywifiext.net to setup your WiFi range extender. Now, with the help of a Nighthawk app you can easily set up your Netgear AX8 extender and connect it to the Internet. The Nighthawk app is available from both Android and iOS smartphone devices. You can easily download the application from the App Store or the Play Store.
To set up your Netgear Nighthawk AX8 WiFi range extender using Nighthawk application, follow the below-mentioned steps-
1. For the initial Netgear extender setup process, place your AX8 extender in the same room as your WiFi router. You can place your AX8 device to a new location after the completion of the setup process.
2. Now connect the power adapter of your WiFi extender and plug the power adapter into an electric outlet.
3. If the device does not power up, press the Power ON/OFF button.
4. Connect your Netgear AX8 extender to WiFi router. Ensure that your router IP doesn't match with WiFi extender IP address, i.e. 192.168.1.250.
5. Launch the Netgear Nighthawk app on your smartphone.
6. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up your Netgear AX8 WiFi Mesh Extender.
7. After the setup is completed, move your range extender to a different location. But make sure that you place the Netgear AX8 WiFi extender within the WiFi network range of your WiFi router.
