    Chapman to take fielding drills at third base

    Toronto Blue Jays designated hitter Danny Jansen will miss the remainder of the regular season after undergoing finger surgery. 섯다 Starting shortstop Bo Bissett is back from injury.

     

    Jansen was struck in the right hand by a foul ball during a road game against the Colorado Rockies on Sept. 2, when he was sharing time with Hyun-jin Ryu, and suffered a fractured middle finger.

     

    On Sept. 9, Jansen underwent surgery to place a pin in the middle finger of his right hand, 온라인섯다 MLBcom reported. The right-hander is expected to share the battery with catchers Tyler Heinemann or Alejandro Kirk for the remainder of the season.

     

    Jansen, who was ruled out for the regular season, is open to playing in fall ball if the team makes the postseason.

     

    Bissett, who was placed on the 30-day disabled list with a quadriceps injury last month, was reinstated to the team and infielder Mason McCoy was sent down to Triple-A.

     

    Bissett, who combines power and speed, played in 114 games this season, hitting .314 with 18 home runs, 62 RBIs and an OPS of .831.

     

    Bissett returned to the lineup on Sept. 9, batting second against the Kansas City Royals.

    Starting third baseman Matt Chapman, who has been sidelined with a finger injury, took fielding practice on Aug. 9. "There are still a few things to check before a timetable for Chapman's return becomes clear," according to MLBcom, which 고스톱 projected his return to mid-September.
