  Blue Beetle New Action, Sci-fi Movie

  The DCEU has been long overdue for a Latino superhero, and this adorable humorous journey makes the wait worthwhile. A lot of the plot points of Blue Beetle are recognizable since Jaime Reyes' (Mariduea) origin story is very similar to that of Spider-Man, a superhero with insect powers from Marvel. Reyes, though, has a key distinction: He is not a lone wolf. While Peter Parker conceals his identity as his alter persona, Reyes' family has supported him wholeheartedly from the beginning. The Reyes family members are like the legs that support and enable Jaime to run even if he may be the Blue Beetle.

  Other aspects also add to the feeling that Blue Beetle's tale is a breath of fresh air in the crowded superhero market. The location is the first thing. Like "Gotham City" is to New York, "Palmera City" is to Miami, and like Miami, the majority of its inhabitants are Latino. Soto uses the Reyes family's story to highlight the difficulties of being a Mexican or Central American immigrant in the United States, including the worries that come with having family members who are not legally present in the country, the tenacity and bravery of those who risk everything to try to provide for their family, and the love of a caring extended family.

  In MEG 2: THE TRENCH, Jonas Taylor (Jason Statham) and Mac (Cliff Curtis), an old friend, are now employed by the Zhang Institute. The institute's director, Jiuming (Wu Jing), is trying to train a megalodon while Jonas has taken on the careful role of Meiying's (Sophia Cai's) stepfather. Meiying is now 14 years old. He wants to keep her safe, but she wants to have experiences like Jonas. Meiying stows away as the crew gets ready for a deep-sea dive beneath the glacially cold thermocline layer.The team finds additional megs and an illicit mining operation on the ocean floor. Even worse, the crew learns that there is a traitor among them after an explosion locks them. Before the dangerous animals reach the closest populated region, a holiday destination named Fun Island, Jonas must find a method to save the crew and fend off the sharks (as well as a new form of killer frog and a big octopus).
