
With in-mold labelling (IML), a plastic component is decorated with a label while being produced using an injection moulding technique. Simply put, plastic is injected over a preprinted label that has been automated into the cavity of an injection mold. With the label permanently fused to the plastic part, this results in a decorated or "labeled" plastic part.
