India is the world's largest exporter and consumer of Indian spices. Its production has risen rapidly over the years and has reached 10.7 million tonnes in 2020-21, an 8% CAGR since 2014-15. During 2020-21, the largest Spices exporters in India were chili, followed by mint products, cumin, spice oils and oleoresin, and turmeric. These constitute about 80 percent of the total spices exported from India.
